Experiential learning (whether Outdoor Training or Indoor Activities) uses adventure, games stories and learning activities as experiences that catalyze and create reflection and learning processes for professional and personal development.

Experiential learning has several advantages:

  • The human being naturally learns through play. The emotional impact and memory of the experience allow us to anchor long-term learning more effectively.
  • They add dynamism and fun to the conference, improving the satisfaction of the participants.
  • The experience of shared challenge and success allows us to strengthen ties in groups and facilitate relationships and the work environment.
  • It allows working on difficult issues to address (attitudinal, entrenched, systemic, emotional …) with other tools, using the custom-designed activity as a metaphor for their reality.
  • It uses all the channels and ways of learning of the human being, not like the traditional training that focuses on auditory analytical people.

 

Some common doubts and objections:

  • Is it expensive or complex? Contrary to the usual prejudice, many outdoor activities can also be adapted to be carried out in the room or adjusted to the logistical or budgetary limitations of the client. We have carried out from zero cost activities to the most spectacular.
  • It is safe? Is it valid only for athletes? When performed with a team of expert professionals, it is totally safe and suitable for people of any age and weight with normal health, no experience or physical form is required. Modulated emotional impact and risk under control are sought
  • They’ll misunderstand it, and think that they’re just having fun! Experiential learning is not the same as mere fun activities. There is a clear learning purpose and methodology and a transfer to the job.
